The Global Travelers Awards Annual Dinner was created to bring back what the industry lost: real encounters, meaningful connections, and cross market visibility. A curated gathering where global cinema meets.
After Covid the film industry shifted. What used to happen in rooms now happens on screens. Meetings became calls. Encounters became scheduled. The organic chemistry that builds films has been reduced.
At the same time something new emerged. The global market is now leading. Cross market coproductions are revealing powerful international talent across directing, producing, acting, writing and sales. Yet many of these voices remain outside mainstream visibility. The same profiles dominate the narrative. Diversity and parity are still not reflected in how talent is highlighted.
The Dinner
A strictly curated 22 seat private dinner gathering selected international industry players to:
- Highlight global talent
- Create real cross market collaborations
- Celebrate cinema beyond borders
- Connect financiers with top tier storytellers and producers
From Cannes 2025 to Cannes 2026
The Global Travelers Awards was launched during the Cannes Film Festival 2025 with a simple idea: to bring back real, high level encounters within the international film industry. Created by Maison Joaal and IAC International Actor Circle, the first edition took place at Port Canto private villa on the Croisette, gathering a curated group of selected global industry players.
Following the success of this first edition, the event naturally evolves into a more elevated format. The Cannes 2026 second edition will take place in the Salon du Jury, within the Michelin star restaurant Carré d'Or at the Hotel Martinez, during the closing days of the Festival.
